Please keep in mind that Diane sets aside only a limited amount of time to answer each question.
On Tuesday, October 17, 2006 I was driving to a hospice in Cincinnati, Ohio to be with a very close friend who was dying from breast cancer. At one point, I felt an unexplainable and incredible feeling going through my body. At that moment, I knew my friend Ann had passed. Ann and I had talked about when she passed and if she was able to that she would make contact with me when she was on the other side. I remember my first thoughts and I even spoke them out loud: Ann is that you? Are you on the other side? Right after that my human emotions took over and I started to cry.
It was only in arriving in Cincinnati and trying to find the hospice that Ann came through and said: “You missed the place” and it was in such a humorous tone, that I smiled. Then I started looking for a place to turn around at while navigating all the twists and turns in the road. And then I heard Ann say: “Turn around up there” and I asked: “Are you sure?” Ann told me it (hospice) was at the top of the curve in the road. So I drove a little further and there was a short drive that I could not see until I approached it, I quickly turned and there was no traffic anywhere.
I knew Ann had cleared the way for me. Upon arriving at hospice and entering Ann’s room, I saw her body laying there nicely clothed and she looked like she was sleeping. I no sooner walked closer to the bed and she kept saying to me: “I am up here Diane, not down there.” It was like she was waving her arms and had a big smile on her face and she kept saying: “I am up here Diane, not down there.” And it was at that moment that I fully realized we are all only of spirit and not the body. This brought to a culmination my many years of being a psychic channel and reinforced my ability to hear from spirit guides, through hearing from my close friend Ann.
To me, my partner Ann was the epitome of love and extending that love to anyone she met. She followed a belief system called: “A Course In Miracles” and that is how she lived her life. Everyday was a focus on the positive, while fighting a ten year battle with breast cancer, which later spread to her liver and her brain. She’s become my example of how to live my life, with less fear and with more joy in whatever life brings. She taught me to find fun in the simple things in life and to be more in the present moment and through that I’ve learned to not regret so many things in my life.
The childlike side of her was always there and always brought a smile to my face. She saw the beauty and a cute side to people and situations in her life. Ann helped others and continued to help them even when she was ill. She was a very hard worker and spent many years working in the police departments in Arizona and Virginia. She later went to school in the computer field, which is the type of work she did while living in Ohio. Ann was born in New Mexico, but as a young girl moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her family. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1996.
In the last year of her life, the cancer had also spread to her brain, causing a seizure. The cancer did not stop Ann; she continued to keep all her doctor’s appointments. She continued her positive attitude, and each day kept smiling and giving to all the people around her with her words of encouragement. We have all lost a beautiful and wonderful person, but we continue to remember her example and always feel her tremendous love surrounding us.
